The Panasonic LUMIX DC-TZ90 (sold overseas as the DC-ZS70) is a pocket-sized travel zoom camera built around a 1/2.3-inch MOS sensor with 20.3 million effective pixels (21.1 million total pixels), paired with a Leica DC Vario-Elmar 30x optical zoom lens (f=4.3-129mm, 24-720mm in 35mm equivalent) with a maximum aperture of F3.3 (wide) to F6.4 (tele). An optical image stabilizer helps reduce camera shake.

The camera features a 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD (approx. 1.04 million dots) that tilts upward for selfie framing, plus a 0.2-inch electronic viewfinder (approx. 1.17 million dots equivalent) with eye sensor. It records 4K video (MP4, 3840x2160 at 30p) and Full HD video, and supports 4K Photo, Post Focus and Focus Stacking. Built-in Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n) allows image transfer and remote shooting with a smartphone via the Panasonic Image App. The camera menu language can be switched between Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean.

It connects via a USB 2.0 Micro-B port (also used for charging) and a Micro HDMI (Type D) terminal, and records to SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards (UHS-I supported; UHS Speed Class 3 recommended for 4K). It does not have a SIM slot or built-in storage. The body is not dustproof, splash-proof or waterproof.

It is powered by a Panasonic DMW-BLG10 rechargeable lithium-ion battery (7.2V, 1025mAh), which is removable and user-replaceable. The box includes the battery, an AC adaptor (SAE0012B, input 100-240V, output 5V 1.0A), a USB cable and a hand strap. The battery is charged in the camera via the USB cable connected to the AC adaptor or a computer (approx. 190 minutes with the AC adaptor). The AC adaptor has a Japanese-style plug, so a plug adapter may be required outside Japan. Please note that the warranty card included is valid only in Japan.
