A popular gun model made of plastic and metal. For applying foam from standard screw-on containers.
Purpose/ApplicationThis gun is designed for applying polyurethane foam during construction, assembly, and insulation work.
Instructions for use1. Getting StartedShake the foam container vigorously for approximately 15 seconds. Lock the trigger lever by turning it counterclockwise so that the lever arm is positioned in the recess in the gun housing. Remove the lid from the container, then screw the container into the gun until resistance is felt. Any minor foam leaks should be immediately cleaned with a polyurethane foam cleaner. Unlock the trigger lever by turning it clockwise. Depress the trigger lever and fill the gun with foam. The gun is now ready for use. A stream of foam flows out when the trigger lever is pressed. Releasing the trigger lever stops the flow of foam.
2. After useLock the trigger lever by turning it counterclockwise so that the lever arm is positioned in the cutout in the gun housing. It is recommended not to unscrew the foam canister from the gun. Ensure that the canister is always screwed onto the gun, even if partially filled, to maintain the foam inside the gun under pressure. This prevents the foam from drying out. If the gun is not used for more than a month, clean the gun with an assembly foam cleaner. Do not allow foam to dry inside the gun. Dried foam can only be removed mechanically.
3. Reusing the GunShake the gun vigorously with the container attached for approximately 15 seconds. Use a sharp knife to cut off the tip of the hardened foam. Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise and release enough foam to create a uniform stream. The gun is then ready for use.
4. Replacing the ContainerIf no more foam is coming out of the container, replace it with a new one. To check if the container is completely clear, point the nozzle towards the waste container and press the trigger until the nozzle is completely clear. Immediately install a new container without cleaning the container and proceed as described in step 1.5. Cleaning the ContainerUnscrew the container from the container. Attach the spray tip to the cleaning agent container and clean any fresh foam residue from the container. Remove the spray tip and screw the cleaning agent container into the container. Proceed similarly as with the foam container (step 1). Fill the container with cleaning agent and let it sit for approximately 10 minutes. Press the trigger again and clean the inside of the container with fresh cleaning agent. Unscrew the cleaning agent container. Using a cloth, remove any remaining cleaning agent from the connection between the container and the gunand cover it with a thin layer of petroleum jelly. Do not clean the gun with corrosive agents. If the gun is used continuously, clean the gun as described above every 2-3 months
