[Each sake cup is handmade] These sake cups are made by Yoshita Kasyou Studio, a renowned Kaga lacquerware maker famous for its tea ceremony utensils. Because each cup is handmade, it has a unique and slightly different appearance.
[Perfect as a Gift] It comes in a decorative box reminiscent of the night sky. The stainless steel, a metal product, is transformed into a lacquerware piece by the artisans of Kasei Kobo using maki-e (gold lacquer) techniques. It's easy to hold, beautiful, and the galaxy shines brighter with use. Enjoying a chilled sake with it will surely lift your spirits. It's also a popular gift choice for foreigners.
[Crafted with love by artisans] The base is made of high-quality 18-8 stainless steel sake cup, meticulously crafted by skilled artisans in Tsubame-Sanjo, one of Japan's leading metalworking regions. The artisans of Yoshita Kasei Workshop sprinkle zelkova wood powder, create grooves on a potter's wheel, apply a generous amount of natural lacquer in several layers, and then finish it off with mother-of-pearl and silver powder. The lacquer and zelkova wood powder form a thick layer of approximately 3 mm.
[Easy Care] Recommended for ice-cold sake. There's no need to be especially careful just because it's lacquerware. To clean, wash with a soft sponge and dish soap, just like regular dishes. Wipe completely dry with a towel to remove any water droplets. *Avoid using a dishwasher, microwave, or oven, and do not soak in water for extended periods. *We do not recommend using it with hot sake (because of its high thermal conductivity, the vessel will become hot).
