Description

The "Original G-SHOCK Reissue Model," a milestone in watchmaking history symbolizing the brand's evolution and heritage, combines original design with modern technology more than 40 years later.

On April 12, 1983, Casio astonished the world with the release of the "G-SHOCK," a tough watch with enhanced shock and vibration resistance for harsh environments. Its high shock resistance, far exceeding ISO standards for shock-resistant watches and able to withstand the impacts of intense sports and the continuous vibrations of devices like chainsaws and jackhammers, revolutionized lifestyles around the world at the time and established a new genre of watch known as the "toughness watch." In addition to its high functionality, its distinctive form was also highly praised, becoming the first wristwatch to be registered as a three-dimensional trademark by the Japan Patent Office in 2023.

A reissue of the "Original G-SHOCK," a masterpiece that has made its mark in watchmaking history, recreating the original design.

In the more than 40 years since the brand's inception, G-SHOCK has continued to evolve and has developed numerous models. This special model uses current G-SHOCK technology to recreate as closely as possible the design that embodies the will and hopes for the future of the original model. The case is crafted from stainless steel, just like the original, and the band is also faithfully reproduced, down to the length, shape, and dimple placement. This represents G-SHOCK's determination to return to its roots after 40 years and pioneer the future. Meanwhile, the bezel and band are made from biomass plastic, which reduces environmental impact. An LED backlight enhances visibility. The case size has been increased from 41.6mm on the original model to a more modern 42.3mm.

A bezel meticulously recreated from the original model The areas on the bezel where the "PROTECTION" and "G-SHOCK" letters are located are flat, faithfully recreating the original model.

Face design featuring red, blue, and yellow The watch faithfully reproduces the original G-SHOCK brand colors: red, which represents a passion for constant challenge; blue, which represents high water resistance; and yellow, which represents shock resistance. It also features a brick pattern that evokes robustness.

Beautifully mirror-polished case back The screw-back case lettering layout and the dynamic "Shock Resistant" inscription are reminiscent of the original model, and the design has been carried over to the finest details.
