KOOV is a robot programming learning kit provided by Sony Global Education. Children build free-form shapes with colorful blocks and electronic parts, then program them to move. The KOOV app shows the assembly steps as a 3D animated guide, and the blocks can be rotated by dragging and touching to see them from various angles. Programming uses a visual language developed in-house that is similar to Scratch, with drag-and-drop operation and step-by-step explanations in a conversational format. After registering an account in the app, users can view robot recipes, share their creations and use learning courses. An internet connection and 3 AA alkaline batteries are needed, and the paid service KOOV Plus and expansion parts sets are available separately.
