FineMolds 1/48 Imperial Japanese Navy Zero Fighter Type 52 A (Mitsubishi-made) Plastic Model Kit FZ03 The Zero Fighter Type 52 "A" (commonly known as the Zero Fighter Type 52 A) is a type of Zero Fighter with an increased ammunition capacity for its 20mm cannons. The original Type 52 was equipped with the Type 99 20mm Model 2 Type 3 cannons mounted on the wings, which could be loaded with 100 rounds of ammunition per gun using a drum magazine. However, the Type 52 A was modified to a belt-fed Type 4 cannon, which could be loaded with 125 rounds of ammunition. Because the mounting position of the updated 20mm cannon was moved forward, a trapezoidal cover was added to the base of the cannon projection on the leading edge of the wing. In addition, the original Type 52 had a teardrop-shaped bulge under the wing to house the drum magazine, but this bulge was eliminated in the Type 52 A due to the change to a belt-fed system. Furthermore, all Mitsubishi-made Type 52A Zeros are equipped with short heat shields, a characteristic feature of Mitsubishi-made models, on the exhaust ports of their thrust-type single exhaust pipes. This product meticulously reproduces these differences using new molds. In particular, the appearance with the short heat shields, a Mitsubishi-made feature, is being recreated in 1/48 scale Zero fighter plastic model kits for the first time. Marking decals for aircraft belonging to the original 343rd Air Group and the 221st Air Group are included. The 343rd Air Group aircraft is one that still exists at the Japan Air Self-Defense Force Hamamatsu Air Base Public Relations Center. *This product is a plastic model kit that requires assembly and painting. *Assembly and painting require separate adhesives, tools, paints, etc. *"Plastic Model" is a registered trademark owned by the Japan Plastic Model Manufacturers Association. *This product does not include adhesives, paints, tools, batteries, etc. *To safely enjoy plastic models, it is important to avoid high temperatures, high humidity, and direct sunlight, and to build them in a well-ventilated area.
