Media Reviews and More
Hiroko Koda, an opera singer with a captivating, brilliant voice, has been recognized by prestigious European opera houses. Her previous album featured covers of J-pop classics, including Miyuki Nakajima's "Ito," showcasing her voice that transcends genres, further expanding her horizons. In 2018, ten years after her major debut, Koda released her tenth commemorative album. Her Mozart repertoire has changed, her voice has grown deeper, and she now performs a variety of repertoire that would have been unimaginable ten years ago. Recorded in Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic, this album was based on a strong relationship of trust with the master conductor Ralf Weikert, with whom she has performed in numerous opera productions. Koda Hiroko, Japan's leading soprano diva, has appeared in opera houses both in Japan and abroad, and is a remarkable concert performer. This album includes classic opera arias, centered around the aria from "La Traviata," which she has been nurturing for many years. (C)RS
