Specification:
Item Type: RV Power Inlet Outlet Shore Kit
Material: PVC, Brass
Rated Current: 30A
Plug Specification: NEMA L5 30R
Socket Specification: NEMA L5 30P
Installation Steps:
1. Position Determination: Select a suitable location on the shell, avoid any pipes or other obstacles, and ensure that all power tools are properly grounded.
2. Marking and Cutting: Use a hole saw to mark and cut holes with a Diameter of 2 7 8in on the shell.
3. Placement Inlet: Place the air inlet into the opening and use it as a model to mark the location of the installation hole, then use a 1 8in drill bit to drill the installation hole.
4. Remove the Rear Baffle: Remove the 2 screws at the front end of the air inlet and remove the rear baffle.
Wiring Specifications:
Peel off the 3 4 inch insulation layer from the wire end, ensure the wire cores are clean and non corrosive. If necessary, cut off the corrosive part and re strip the wire.
Wiring Color Code:
1. 125V 3 Wire System: Black: Live wire; White: Neutral wire; Green: Equipment ground wire
2. 125 250V
4 Wire System: Black: Live wire (125V); Red: Live wire (125V); White: Neutral wire; Green: Equipment ground wire
3. Insert the wire into the terminal hole, tighten the terminal screw to a torsion of 20in lb, and ensure that there is no insulation remains.
Wiring:
Thread the internal wiring through the box opening, use at least 10 AWG 3c wires, do not use finer wires to prevent overheating and potential electrical fires.
Stripping and Connecting:
Peel off 3 5in on the end of the wire to ensure it is clean and non corrosive. Insert the wire into the opening behind the air inlet according to the color code and tighten the terminal screw.
Organizing and Fixing:
Thread the wires through the rear baffle and pressure reducing device, slide the rear baffle behind the air inlet, tighten the pressure reducing screw, place the air inlet above the box opening, align the mounting holes, and use screws to fix the air inlet to the box.
Adjustment Steps:
1. Power Outage: Cut off the power at the entrance of the circuit breaker.
2. Dismantling Old Inlet: Remove the old air inlet from the housing and disconnect the internal wiring.
3. Check for Erosion: Check for erosion in the wiring. If there is, cut off the corrosive
part and re strip the wire.
