Introduction
sukekiyo, the solo project of DIR EN GREY vocalist Kyo, will release their second mini-album, "VITIUM," on February 4, 2015. Named "VITIUM," which means "abnormality, flaw, or mistake" in Latin, the album's lyrics, including themes like "perverted hobbies" and "child abandonment," explore issues society tends to turn a blind eye to. Reflecting the ambiguity of the human "border between normal and abnormal," the album's eccentric music complements the profound world of sukekiyo. The perverse sound seen on their previous album, "IMMORTALIS," remains strong, featuring Kyo's bizarre and versatile vocals and the unique guitar, bass, and drums that effortlessly manipulate the color of the music. From songs that are both comfortable and strange, nostalgic and innovative, to songs that evoke the emotional and melancholic atmosphere of pop music, this album showcases sukekiyo's hidden side.
