A selection of 10 freshwater fish species found in the upper and middle reaches of Japanese rivers
[Expressing the essence of Carolata]
It expresses the unique shape, head and fin shape, and body color of this species.
【Attention to detail】
The base recreates the stones and rocks found in the upper and middle reaches of the river where the fish live.
[What I want to convey]
Japan has a large number of mountains and few plains compared to its land area, so its rivers are characterized by being short and fast-flowing. The river environment is extremely varied as it flows from its source in the mountains to the river and sea. As the river environment changes from upstream to midstream to downstream, freshwater fish live in waters that suit their feeding habits and breeding. We planned and produced this project to let people know about the habitats of these freshwater fish.
