A masterpiece by master Shotaro Ishinomori, "Cyborg 009" is an immortal masterpiece in the history of Japanese science fiction manga. Since its serialization began in 1964, this work, depicting the exploits, conflicts, friendship, and love for humanity of nine cyborgs, has been published over the years as Shotaro Ishinomori's lifework, transcending the boundaries of publishers and media genres, including girls' manga magazines, young men's manga magazines, and newspapers. Many episodes address social issues, crimes, and war, making it a work that has remained relevant throughout the ages.

Since 2012, we have been publishing "Cyborg 009 [Complete Color Edition]" (B5 size, boxed edition), which compiles all of the "Cyborg 009" stories up to the "Undersea Pyramid Arc" using the original pagination from when they first appeared in magazines. Particularly popular and currently out of stock are "1966-67 Underground Empire Yomi Arc," "1964-65 Birth Arc/Assassin Arc," and "1965 Vietnam Arc/Mythos Cyborg Arc."

Now, with the full cooperation of Ishimori Productions, as a special project commemorating the 60th anniversary of the series' creation, we have taken advantage of the features of "Cyborg 009 [Complete Color Edition]," such as the inclusion of all frontispieces and high-resolution digitally remastered pages, while re-editing the content according to new standards.

▼Re-editing Standards In order to maintain the flow and readability of the work, the prologue and original illustrations originally published in the latter half of the original box edition have been re-edited to follow the story and make it easier to read.
