■This new album captures the joyous energy of three sold-out shows at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl in 1964 and 1965, the peak of The Beatles' career as a live band!
■The 13-track vinyl release (Japanese title: "The Beatles Super Live!") released in 1977 is no longer in print, but this release is not simply a reissue of that album; it is an entirely new album created directly from the original three-track tapes from those concerts. To capture the energy and excitement of a concert hall while recreating the band's performance with the greatest clarity and sound quality possible today, Grammy-winning producer Giles Martin and Grammy-winning engineer Sam Okell have added four new, previously unreleased recordings from this historic concert to the 13 tracks from the original album, produced by Giles' father, Sir George Martin, and meticulously remixed and remastered them at Abbey Road Studios.
■This release coincides with "The Beatles: Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years," the band-authorized, highly anticipated feature-length documentary about the band's early career, directed by Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard. The film will have its world premiere in London on September 15th and will be released in theaters worldwide, with a Japanese release date of September 22nd.
