It creates a richly immersive sound field that makes you feel as if you are in the presence of an artist performing live. You can experience this by subscribing to a compatible music streaming service and playing compatible content.
＜To play 360 Reality Audio music＞
1. Use the Google Home app or Music Center app to connect this unit and your smartphone to the same Wi-Fi network and enable music playback.
2. Install the app for a streaming service that offers 360 Reality Audio on your smartphone.
3. Tap Cast on your preferred streaming service and play music on your device.
* A Wi-Fi network connection is required to play 360 Reality Audio content. Playback is not possible via Bluetooth.
*You can check the streaming services that offer 360 Reality Audio on "Sony Music Center." Services may not be available in some countries or regions. In Japan, as of April 16, 2021, Amazon Music HD and nugs.net are supported.
*Both are flat-rate services. A monthly fee is charged when using the service.

Beam tweeter effect
The wavefronts coming out of the numerous holes on the beam tweeter overlap, generating sound that spreads primarily upward at 75 degrees, effectively diffusing the sound and creating a three-dimensional sound field.
"Immersive Audio Enhancement" lets you enjoy realistic sound
Sony's unique algorithms enable playback of everyday 2-channel content with a more immersive and expansive sound. The increased sound spread means you can enjoy immersive music even at home.
*The factory default setting is "Immersive AE" on.

"Auto Sound Calibration" automatically optimizes sound to suit the environment
The speaker measures the surrounding environment and adjusts the sound balance to suit your surroundings. Enjoy music that's perfect for your environment. Even if you change the speaker's location, the sound will automatically adjust to your surroundings when you turn it on and start playing music.
"DSEE" reproduces compressed audio sources with a sound closer to the original.
DSEE effectively complements the high-frequency range that is often lost in compressed audio sources, reproducing clear sound. Compressed audio sources, such as those from music streaming services, are reproduced with a wide sound that is closer to the original. Even when the compression rate is increased, there is little degradation in sound quality, allowing you to enjoy natural sound that is easy on the ears.
