■Features of Iron Teapots
"Nambu Ironware," a traditional craft from Iwate Prefecture boasting a 900-year history, has a simple and warm texture, and its character improves with use. Iron teapots have excellent heat retention due to the high heat storage properties of the material, and the interior is finished with careful enamel coating.
■Care Instructions Before and After First Use
・Wash the inside of the teapot and the tea strainer thoroughly with water or lukewarm water, and rinse well before use.
・To remove any moisture from the outside of the teapot, press a soft, highly absorbent cloth against the teapot to absorb the water.
・After use, wash thoroughly with water or lukewarm water in the same way, absorb the water, and then store. (Please be careful as moisture tends to remain around the spout, the underside of the lid, and the base of the handle, which can cause rust. *Iron rust is harmless, so continuing to use it will not harm your health or hygiene.)
*If tea stains accumulate on the inside, wash with a sponge and mild detergent.
