The Haoge LMR-Z186 tripod mount ring is designed for the Nikon Nikkor Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR lens. It features an Arca-Swiss compatible dovetail that allows the lens to be attached to Arca-Swiss ball heads, clamps, and panoramic heads. It has 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch screw holes on the bottom for direct tripod mounting. It also has a built-in strap hole for portability.

The ring provides stability to the camera and lens. Due to its weight, when the lens is mounted on the camera and tripod, the center of gravity shifts towards the lens. The ring attaches to a tripod and can be shifted to adjust balance.
Rotation
By attaching the ring around the lens and securing the camera, you can rotate the lens between landscape and portrait modes without removing the camera from the tripod. The friction thumb screw can be tightened to lock the camera in the desired position.
