KATO (KATO) N gauge 789 series 1000 series “Kamui Suzuran” 5-car set 10-1821 model train
JR Hokkaido's 789 series 1000 series will be operated as “Kamui” between Sapporo and Asahikawa, and “Suzuran” between Sapporo and Muroran
The origin of “kamui” comes from a high-ranking spiritual being with a deity in the Ainu language
A slotless motor is used as the power unit
The shape with a high cab, a smart, non-penetrating head, and a unique body cross section are accurately reproduced.
The HL-1004 formation belonging to the Sapporo Driver's Office was commercialized as a prototype. When attached to a ladder under the front cab, the skirt reproduces the shape with the opening blocked.
Equipment specific to vehicles for snowfall areas is also realistically reproduced, such as underfloor equipment fully covered to prevent snowfall and snow guards seen on the roof of vehicles adjacent to the pantograph section.
In addition to the skirt, the Snow Plow also recreates the one attached to the front trolley.
The silver metallic body beautifully reproduces the corporate color light green and violet bands that make you feel the scent of lavender.
The difference in color between the stainless steel body, crew doors, and passenger doors and the frontal part is reproduced.
The high-voltage devices and white insulators around the pantograph, which are typical of AC trains, are reproduced.
The anti-slip roof runboard is reproduced with black printing.
The format notation, end notation, safety equipment notation, car number number, non-smoking car mark, U seat mark, wheelchair mark, and cab window organization number notation are accurately reproduced in print.
A dummy coupler with the silver coupler cover attached has already been attached to the head coupler. The train radio antenna, signal flame tube, and FM radio antenna have also been installed.
The middle connection uses a body-mounted close-contact coupler (no hook).
By adopting a slotless motor, smooth and quiet drivability is achieved.
“Kamui” has already been installed on the front display. “Suzuran,” “JR,” “Super Kamui,” “Super Kamui/Airport,” “Homeliner,” and “Normal” are included as replacements. The side display is printed in black.
In addition to destinations compatible with the front nickname display, destination display stickers include priority seat signs that were affixed until the “Airport” operation was withdrawn in Heisei 28 (2016) March.
