Synopsis
The second chapter of the Enterprise's new adventure.
A battle against an unprecedentedly formidable enemy is imminent!
▶The second chapter of the authentic "Star Trek" series leads to an unavoidable battle against a formidable foe.
The USS Enterprise, under the command of its second captain, Christopher Pike, continues its adventurous journey while grappling with various problems for its crew.
While Season 1 had many elements reminiscent of "Star Trek: The Original Series," it also features episodes that evoke several famous science fiction works,
and the appearance of some unexpected "Star Trek" characters, resulting in a varied storyline.
And the battle against the formidable and ferocious enemy, the Gaunt, was surely approaching.
▶Focusing on the relationship between Spock and Chapel, the story depicts the past and future of the crew.
Spock is about to get engaged, but his relationship with Chapel is bothering him. Around this time, the two are involved in an accident, and Spock's body undergoes a transformation that shakes his relationships with those around him. Furthermore, Ra'an travels to the future and the past through time travel, an essential element of the series. Unexpected encounters here deeply move her.
Mbenga uncovers the truth of the past with the appearance of a character who evokes memories of the war with the Klingons.
▶While there are serious developments, there are also plenty of comical stories.
Episode 7, "Ancient Scientist," directed by Jonathan Frakes (Riker), blends animation and live-action.
Boumler and Mariner from "Star Trek: Lower Deck" time-travel from the 24th century to the live-action world, with the Japanese voice actors also performing the live-action roles.
While the previous season featured costume play, this time, episode 9, "Subspace Rhapsody," is almost entirely a musical, with the crew's singing voices echoing throughout the ship.
