In the mysterious era called the '1990s,' a new pedal brand was established in the UK. Its unconventional ideas created sounds from another world. Although it existed for only a few years, these products became legendary, with one leaving a particularly significant mark. Artists such as U2 (The Edge), Jimmy Page, Radiohead, Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine), Jeff Tweedy (Wilco), and Gary Moore used units that are now highly sought after in the secondhand market, sometimes reaching prices of $800. The Cheese Ball is a tribute to one of the most captivating brands and circuits in effect pedal history, faithfully and precisely recreating the original circuitry.

The Cheese Ball features standard Volume, Gain, and Tone knobs found on most distortion and fuzz pedals, along with an extra mode select knob that offers four different tone and gain options. In the 'OFF' position, the Tone knob is disabled, producing a bright, raspy fuzz/distortion sound. Position '1' offers a mid-scooped sound reminiscent of a finely chopped mozzarella topping on a pizza, similar to a rounded Big Muff style. Position '2' provides a mid-boost sound reminiscent of a hot knife slicing Velveeta cheese. Finally, position '3' yields a coarse-grained gate fuzz tone with a sharpness akin to Gorgonzola cheese when distorted.
