[Model Number: 17903867] This is “PORTER PLUME (Puruumu),” a high-class leather goods series featuring basic designs but employing advanced sewing techniques, using European original cow kip as the main material. To create a sharp and clean impression, the corners are made at right angles, and the interior is finished with a bound edge. The distinctive bound edge is created by wrapping the edge of the surface leather three times with leather, and stitching along the folds of the leather. This requires a high level of skill to achieve straight, distortion-free sewing. Furthermore, by changing the tone and material of the leather used for the three-layer wrapping from that of the main body, the edge is highlighted and the strength against corner abrasion is increased. The cow kip used in this series has been subjected to “yowarimomi”※, a traditional method of rubbing the leather from all four directions – up, down, left, and right – to accentuate the grain. This creates a plump, natural texture different from embossing, resulting in a supple and elegant feel. In addition, the interior uses two different types of leather depending on the area, creating a more luxurious construction and enhancing the high-quality feel. The zippers used are high-quality EXCELLA zippers with a good feel to the touch. The front features an original metal plate with the PORTER name, matched to the color of the edge leather, and is embedded in the surface leather for a clean look. The wallet features a gusset on the bill compartment, allowing for smooth sorting and removal of bills. ※Yowarimomi is a process for accentuating the grain of tanned leather by folding and rubbing it from four directions – up, down, left, and right.
