This pedal is ideal for reducing signal buzz when you're not playing. The toggle switch has two settings: hard and soft. The hard setting adjusts the pedal to release immediately. The hard setting is ideal for eliminating unwanted string noise and creating clean silences between heavy metal riffs. The soft setting is more mellow on release, making it less likely to cut off abruptly. The threshold knob adjusts when the pedal begins to cut off signals. Setting the knob to -30dB will cause the pedal to cut off all signals below that value. Setting the threshold to a higher value, such as 10, can produce great effects with reverb and heavy distortion. The True-Bypass Footswitch allows the tone signal to pass through the pedal unaffected when it's in the "off" position. Note: Please be aware that this pedal cannot be powered by batteries.
