*Important Notes Regarding Electrical Appliances*
[Voltage]
Japanese electrical appliances are designed for Japanese voltage specifications (90–110V). Using them with a different voltage may cause malfunctions; please use a voltage transformer.
[Plug Type]
Japanese electrical appliances use Japanese plug configurations (Type A or Type B).
Please use a plug adapter if necessary.
[Important Information: Voltage Transformers vs. Plug Adapters]
A voltage transformer adjusts the voltage to match your device's specifications.
A plug adapter merely changes the plug shape and does not adjust the voltage.
Using only a plug adapter without a voltage transformer may result in product damage.
[Disclaimer]
We accept no liability for malfunctions or damage resulting from improper use, such as operating the device without a voltage transformer.
Multi-coating to suppress flare and ghosting caused by filter attachment; blackened glass edge to reduce internal reflections; thin frame design to minimize vignetting when using ultra-wide-angle lenses; knurled finish for easy attachment and removal; lens cap can be attached; exposure multiplier: 1/3 stop; made in Japan.
Light pollution reduction & constellation enhancement effect. The effects of the classic astrophotography filters "Starry Night" and "Pro Softon" in one filter. The effects of "Starry Night (light pollution reduction)" and "Pro Softon (constellation enhancement)," which are often in combination when taking astrophotography, can be obtained with a single filter. This has the advantage of reducing the hassle of layering filters and minimizing vignetting. The soft effect is equivalent to "PRO1D Pro Softon Clear (W)". It blurs bright stars while minimizing the soft effect on the landscape, making it ideal when you want to capture the landscape clearly in astrophotography. ■ Reduces color cast caused by city lights Due to the influence of city lights such as sodium lamps and mercury lamps, the night sky is captured with a yellow or orange color cast. By using a light pollution reduction filter, color cast is reduced and natural color reproduction is possible. Also, by reducing the impact of light pollution on the night sky, the sky becomes darker and the contrast with the stars is increased. Even when finishing your work with photo editing software, using a light pollution filter to cut out light pollution beforehand reduces the number of steps in your workflow and makes RAW processing easier. ■Starry Night Pro: Keeps landscapes clear while highlighting constellations.
Softon not only cuts light pollution but also provides a softening effect equivalent to "Pro Softon Clear." Even constellations that are clearly visible to the naked eye can appear too sharp in digital cameras, making it difficult to discern the brightness and color of the stars. "Pro Softon" beautifully blurs bright stars, making constellations stand out. It can also emphasize the colors of the stars. "Pro Softon Clear," which reduces the softening effect of "Pro Softon (A)" by about half, has almost no noticeable softening effect on landscapes, making it ideal for "astrophotography" where you want to capture both the starry sky and the landscape without applying a softening effect to mountains or buildings. ■Ideal for astrophotography and nightscape photography Starry Night Pro Softon has no restrictions on the focal length of the lens and does not cause color shift even with wide-angle lenses, making it ideal for astrophotography. It is also powerful for nightscape photography and time-lapse photography, which is difficult to process in post-processing. ■ No need to stack filters or worry about vignetting The effect previously achieved with two filters can now be obtained with just one filter thanks to its thin frame design, eliminating the need for stacking filters and reducing the occurrence of vignetting. Stacking two filters increases the frame thickness, which can cause vignetting (black shadows) in the corners when using ultra-wide-angle lenses.
While this can sometimes occur, using a single filter virtually eliminates this possibility. Furthermore, avoiding stacking filters helps suppress unwanted ghosting and flare.
