Directions for use: 2.5 teaspoons of active dry yeast equals 1 7g pack of yeast. 2.5 teaspoons of active dry yeast equals 4.5 teaspoons of fresh cake yeast. Place active dry yeast in warm water (110ºF) for about 5 minutes to activate the yeast. . Adding a small amount of sugar or sweetener (1 teaspoon) will activate the yeast. If the package is tightly sealed and refrigerated, it will retain its potency for several months. Altitude Tip: Reduce the yeast to 1/4 teaspoon. Bread is best used at high altitudes. You may need to reduce the rise time as it may inflate more quickly.
