This is a SpinGear original, domestically produced wooden yo-yo.
This design incorporates all the essential elements needed for a 4-6 year old's first yo-yo experience.
1) You can roll it back into your hand!
Even if you're still having trouble raising and lowering the yo-yo, you can place it on the floor and roll it, and it will rewind back to your hand. Its wide, flat edge ensures stable rolling on floors, carpets, or tatami mats. It's designed specifically for rolling.
Nothing can begin if you can't do yo-yoing or have a negative attitude towards it. If a child can squat and walk, they can 100% succeed, so start them off with yo-yoing based on that success. This trick, devised by Grand Yo-Yo Master Dale Oliver and incorporated by Yo-Yo Master TAKA as the most effective technique in his yo-yo classes after more than 20 years of teaching, is presented in an easy-to-follow format.
2) The string is for yo-yos!
Many wooden yo-yos, which are educational toys made from wood, have a fixed axle, but the string is often glued to the axle, which prevents the natural rebound that is necessary for a yo-yo, resulting in a clunky sound.
Furthermore, using a yo-yo string with a loop at the end helps develop a feel that will be useful when moving on to a regular yo-yo in the future. We usually recommend looping it two or three times. It's also durable because it's replaceable. It's also ideal for learning how to use the finger hole. Recommended for dads who want to give their children an early start!
3) High safety
Incredibly, even famous children's wooden toy brands often use thick nylon strings for their yo-yos that are so strong they won't break when pulled, due to durability and cost considerations. To prevent serious accidents such as a child's finger being severed or the yo-yo getting caught in something while worn on their finger or getting caught around their neck, we recommend Slick 6 yo-yo strings, which break when a certain amount of force is applied.
4) Weight
This is by far the heaviest wooden yo-yo. At first glance, you might think that a lighter yo-yo would be better for children, but the weight actually makes it easier to control, as it descends without gaining too much momentum. Even children who are not yet proficient at gravity pulls will find it fun to use a yo-yo that descends with good momentum.
5) Fun for adults to use too
This is a unique yo-yo that defies the theories of yo-yo weight distribution. It's fun to use even when designed for single loops and sleeps. Try to master it by using all your adult knowledge, such as low maintenance and 100% polyester construction.
Although it is finished in Japan, the price would skyrocket if we were to ensure balance between the left and right sides, so we assemble it without sorting. There are significant individual differences, and it may become unstable when slept by advanced players, so please keep in mind that it was developed as a machine specifically for raising and lowering before playing with it if you are an advanced player.
