Converse All Star 70 Low Top Canvas Shoes Unisex Total Crimson Color (Unisex) Canvas Shoes 160522C

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star is the original basketball shoe and was once the official NBA game shoe. Composed of a rubber sole and canvas upper, it debuted in 1949 and quickly became an industry-favorite basketball sneaker—its design remains unchanged to this day. At the time, basketball player Chuck Taylor joined the Converse-sponsored basketball team, helped market and sell the All Star, and contributed improvements to the shoe; Converse subsequently decided to add Chuck Taylor’s name to the shoe. By the 1970s, the classic black-and-white All Star had gained immense popularity among rock musicians and youth, and was embraced by numerous subcultures. Worn with jeans and a white T-shirt, the All Star became a symbol of counterculture.
